Pointless Platform is a minimalist platformer where you navigate increasingly tricky terrain to reach ever higher points. The controls are straightforward but the level design throws in just enough twists to keep things engaging. Each screen is a vertical gauntlet of jumps and timing with no power-ups or enemies to distract from the pure act of climbing. As an MSXDev contest entry it leans into the charm of retro gaming with simple graphics and a no-frills approach. While it’s short by modern standards its clean design and focus on core platforming mechanics have earned it a niche following among fans of old-school indie games. The New Image’s effort might not blow you away but it’s a solid throwback that gets the job done.
