Pokémon Tectonic puts you in the shoes of a newcomer arriving in the Makya region. This area is a patchwork of old and new where ancient caves sit right next to modern settlements. Former members of the disbanded Team Chasm live here, some having tried to move on while others keep their shady past close. A fresh group has resurfaced to chase the power of the Regis again. You must travel through these tunnels alone to uncover what really happened two decades ago and stop the current plot before it gets out of hand. The gameplay mixes classic RPG exploration with turn-based strategy battles that test your team building skills. The story stands out because it focuses on the fallout from a corporate experiment gone wrong rather than a simple villain takeover. You meet former researchers who are now trying to be good citizens while dealing with public distrust. Community feedback highlights the deep lore woven into every cave and dialogue choice. Players appreciate how the game handles the moral gray areas of the past without leaning on clichés. The single player mode keeps the focus tight on your personal investigation through this complex world.
A team formed twenty years ago to investigate Makya's mysterious and ancient caves. They invested millions of dollars into infrastructure in southern Makya, and were involved in numerous projects both secret and dangerous. Eight years ago, however, they were suddenly disbanded by the actions of a lone Pokémon trainer. Still, a deal struck between the top brass and the Makyan government allowed most members to avoid jail time. By now, most former Team Chasm members have integrated into Makyan society, but some of the public still refuse to forgive and forget.
