Pokémon Trozei! swaps battles for blocks in a puzzle game built for the DS. Use the stylus to swap Pokémon faces on a grid aiming to match four of the same at once. Each match clears those Pokémon while creating chain reactions from larger groups. The pace ramps up as rounds progress with new faces dropping faster forcing quick thinking. Combos let you power through waves while unlocking entries for each cleared species. The Pokédex mechanic ties progression to exploration as all 386 creatures from FireRed and LeafGreen Version appear. Multiplayer modes let friends join in with local co op or competitive matches. While not a top seller it carved a niche for fans wanting a different kind of Pokémon challenge. The stylus driven gameplay feels surprisingly tactile for a decade old DS title.
