About

Pokémon VR: Ash’s Room is a solo simulator built for Oculus VR that lets you explore a pixel-perfect recreation of the Pokémon trainer’s iconic bedroom. Developer Jarlan Perez crafted every detail from the posters on the walls to the Pokémon toys scattered across the floor using Unreal 4. The goal isn’t gameplay but nostalgia, players can wander the space, pick up items, and relive the charm of Ash’s chaotic, Pokémon-filled hideout. No battles or quests here just the joy of stepping into a world made by a fan for fans. The project’s dedication to authenticity stands out, with textures and layouts mirroring the anime and games. Though designed for HTC Vive, Perez added Oculus Touch support based on feedback from testers who confirmed it works “playable” on the platform. Released in 2017 it remains a small but heartfelt tribute with a devoted niche audience. The lack of official backing doesn’t dull its impact, many fans praise it as a creative love letter to the series.

Storyline

''This is a fan made Project and has no ties to Nintendo or the Pokemon Company. I made this because I love the Pokemon series and wanted to make something that would pay tribute and put a smile on the face of other fans. I designed it for the HTC Vive and that's what I also tested it on but I also went ahead and mapped the Oculus Touch key as well. Since I do not have an Oculus Touch I can't 100% guarantee that it will work as intended. I've had a few people test it out on theirs and said it was playable. '' - Jarlan Perez
