PokéWilds is a Gen 2 inspired Pokémon RPG that remixes classic mechanics with procedural world generation. Each biome in the game is randomly created and teems with wild creatures, some only found in distant or harsh regions. As you travel deeper into these areas, enemy strength scales with your team's progress, balancing risk and reward. Houses and structures can be unlocked through special HMs that let you build, manipulate the environment, or tackle obstacles like climbing or lighting fires. Combat and exploration follow familiar Pokémon tropes but with shifted layouts and encounters each time you play. The game’s randomized maps and hidden biome logic create discovery without scripted zones. Community playtests suggest around 8 to 12 hours for a single run, though new challenges appear with repeated attempts. Developer SheerSt focused on expanding utility beyond typical Pokémon tools, adding environmental interactions that change how areas are navigated. The open-ended structure avoids traditional story beats, leaning instead on player-driven goals and exploration.
