Polda 2 is a point-and-click adventure from Zima Software where you follow Pankrác, a bumbling cop with more heart than smarts, as he uncovers oddball mysteries. Set in the futuristic city of Marsias, the game revolves around DNA-cloning tech that’s created a black market of celebrity doppelgängers. Pankrác’s investigation collides with Marsias’ upcoming Cloned Miss of Beauty contest, mixing bureaucratic nonsense with sci-fi absurdity. Players solve puzzles through inventory-based interactions, often relying on Pankrác’s brute force and questionable logic to advance. The game’s legacy is tied to its quirky humor and dated yet charming visual style. Despite a 1999 release, it’s still playable on modern mobile devices through ports that preserve its original quirks. Community chatter often highlights its over-the-top gags and puzzles that lean into slapstick rather than logic. While its graphics feel retro by today’s standards, the satirical take on celebrity culture and cloning tech remains oddly prescient.
In his second adventure Pankrác investigates various mysterious events connected to the city of Marsias. The city is known for its a state-of-art DNA technology thanks to which the city has been prospering since putting the technology into practise. There are many doubles of famous people and artists in Marsias which the original versions of the famous people and artists use for some shady business. When Pankrác steps in to the city, the city prepares for crowning its new Cloned Miss of Beauty.
