Polydeuces is a brief, eerie experience that lets you move freely in three-dimensional space to explore a haunted structure. You navigate twisting corridors and shifting rooms while avoiding glimpses of something unnatural. The lack of traditional combat or dialogue means tension comes from spatial awareness and timing. Puzzles involve manipulating the environment to create escape routes or delay unseen threats. The game’s strength lies in its unsettling atmosphere and creative use of 6DoF movement which lets you duck, strafe, and hover through tight spaces. Though short, under an hour, it leaves a lingering sense of unease. Its minimalist approach to horror focuses on architectural dread over jump scares. Built for a retro-inspired jam, it feels like a proof of concept that prioritizes mood over polish.
