"VR Ping Pong is a game that I’ve already sunk a huge number of hours into. It can be incredibly frustrating at times, but it’s also scarily realistic. At times, I would literally go to rest my arm on the Ping Pong table to realise that it obviously wasn’t there. The game can be let down by the PlayStation Move Controller tracking which can lead to you losing a crucial point at times. All-in-all, for $22, it’s not bad if you’re hugely into Table Tennis and have nobody to play with in real life."

Pong 3DS is a stripped down remake of the classic arcade game built for the Nintendo 3DS. It pits a player against the system in a back-and-forth rally where timing and reflexes decide each point. The 3D effect gives the ball a slight offset making it appear to float between the screen and the player. Controls are simple tap or tilt movement keeping the action fast and accessible. This homebrew project leans into the hardware’s capabilities without overcomplicating the formula. AntonioND’s version feels like a nostalgic callback with a modern twist using the 3DS’s 3D display as more than just a gimmick. The lack of multiplayer or extra modes keeps it focused but shorter sessions make it a solid pick for quick bursts of play.
