Pongspin flips the classic paddle-and-ball formula into something stranger. You control a ring-shaped paddle that orbits around a central core, bouncing a fast-moving ball to keep it from escaping. The goal is simple: don’t let the ball touch the core. As the action ramps up, the paddle’s orbit speeds and angles shift, forcing you to adjust on the fly. It’s a minimalist game that leans hard into disorientation, with sharp mechanics and no room for error. The game’s charm lies in its willingness to embrace chaos. Visuals and sound design lean into a low-fi, glitchy aesthetic that feels intentionally off-kilter. While the single-player experience is short, the difficulty curve is steep, early levels can turn into a blur of missed saves and screen resets.
