About

Porkchop's Adventure is a point-and-click indie game that plays like a spiritual cousin to Five Nights at Freddy's. You control Ethan, a game show writer stuck in a decrepit studio after hours. The goal is simple survive until the elevator fixes itself in 60 minutes or find a way out before coworkers arrive. Most of the action happens in real time with limited interactions. You’ll scan the environment for clues tweak security systems and hope animatronic threats don’t catch you off guard. The gameplay leans on tension and atmosphere rather than jump scares though a few moments lean into the horror genre’s classic tropes. The game stands out for its retro pixel art and synthwave soundtrack which create a distinct 80s VHS aesthetic. Despite a short runtime around 30 minutes for most players it’s built a cult following. Community data shows 70% of players finish in under 30 minutes with many returning for the developer’s promised sequel Porkchop’s Horror Show. Phisnom released it in 2018 as a teaser for a larger project but the standalone experience remains polished and memorable for fans of minimalist horror games.

Storyline

Supposedly set in November 22nd, 2048, you play as 35-year-old Ethan, a writer for the "Porkchop's Horror Show", a horror-themed game show presumably created in the near decade. Eventually, Ethan gets trapped on the third floor of the studio after hours with all available exits broken. You must wait 60 minutes for the elevator to come back to normal, or for a co-worker to save you.
