Power Rangers S.P.D. sends the Space Patrol Delta team into orbit for a side-scrolling action game. Players switch between five rangers each with distinct skills like phase movement, duplication, and force fields. Nine levels pit them against robotic enemies and boss battles, with mid-game Megazord sequences against giant threats. Combat blends platforming challenges with timed attacks and environmental hazards. The sixth entry in THQ's Power Rangers line keeps the formula simple but frantic. Each ranger's ability adds variety to combat and puzzle sections though the GBA hardware limits visual flair. Series fans will recognize Emperor Gruumm's threat but the single-player campaign offers little beyond standard Power Rangers fare. Light on innovation but solid for quick bursts of alien-slaying fun.
