Rare developed Pro-Am 64 for the Nintendo 64 as a racing title meant to join their famous Pro-Am lineup. The game featured both single player and multiplayer modes before getting cancelled in the late nineties. It never saw a release date or a storefront listing, which makes any existing footage or details quite rare. Players who saw early builds would have seen high speed kart action that felt very much like the rest of Rare's work at the time. The most interesting part of this title is how it evolved after cancellation. Developers took the core mechanics and assets from Pro-Am 64 to build Diddy Kong Racing instead. This connection gives fans a direct line to what could have been a major entry in the franchise. Community discussions often pop up when people find old concept art or dev logs, but there are no official ratings since no one actually played the finished product. It remains a curious piece of Nintendo history that exists only through its successor.
