Pro Evolution Soccer Management is a football management title spun off from Konami’s PES series. Released in 2006 for PlayStation 2, it lets players handle transfers, tactics, and player development while guiding their team through matches. The gameplay focuses on strategic decision-making over action, with menus and systems typical of management sims. It shares the PES brand but shifts from on-field control to off-field strategy. The game didn’t sit well with critics, many of whom called it shallow despite its management trappings. Community ratings remain low, and no follow-up was ever made. Still, some fans appreciate the licensed teams and the chance to shape a squad’s long-term success. Its age shows in the interface and systems, but it remains a footnote for those curious about Konami’s detour into management games.
