Project Eden is a 3D shooter set in a dystopian future where overcrowded mega-cities stretch toward the sky. You lead a four-person UPA team into the depths of a malfunctioning meat processing plant, navigating through dangerous environments filled with puzzles and enemies. Each team member has unique skills: one can hack terminals, another fixes machinery, a third handles interrogations, and the last excels in combat and survival. Switching between characters is essential to solve environmental challenges and advance through the story. What stands out is the need to coordinate between characters’ abilities to solve complex puzzles and survive hostile zones. The game supports co-op play, allowing friends to take on different roles and work together. While the cyberpunk aesthetic and story may feel dated compared to modern titles, the emphasis on teamwork and strategic problem-solving holds up. Originally launched in 2001 on PC and PlayStation 2, it’s a relic of early 2000s design that still offers a solid challenge for those seeking cooperative puzzle-based shooters.
