"Project Hospital is undoubtedly a gem in its genre. Thanks to its clear focus on realism and the actual workings of a hospital, it is a highly successful building strategy game that impresses and entertains with its approach and execution. At a certain point, however, like other titles in this category, it can become a bit monotonous, especially once you’ve encountered every possible illness, injury, or other health issue. There are, however, an incredible number of these in the game, so that won’t happen anytime soon."

Project Hospital lets you run a hospital from the ground up. You handle layout design, staff hiring, budgeting, and even perform surgeries and diagnostics. Each patient brings new challenges requiring lab tests and equipment use to figure out their conditions. The game balances management tasks with hands-on medical work letting you focus on building efficient facilities or getting hands dirty in treatment rooms. Contracting insurance companies expands the types of cases you encounter while managing staff morale and financials keeps things tense. Players often praise the depth of systems and the freedom to play how you want. With over 100 hours of gameplay reported by many the hospital’s operations feel rewarding to optimize. Released in 2018 it runs on PC Linux and Mac with single-player only. The blend of strategic planning and medical problem-solving creates a distinct experience that adapts to your priorities.
