Prune & Milo follows two siblings navigating a surreal cave system after a vacation mishap turns into an apocalyptic quest. Players guide Prune and Milo through hand-drawn environments, using their new weapons and wits to solve puzzles and advance the story. The turn-based gameplay blends exploration with strategic decisions, as the pair encounter oddball characters and shifting landscapes. Dialogue and item choices often shape the path forward, though combat remains minimal and whimsical. The game’s charm comes from its offbeat tone and unpredictable narrative twists. Christopher the owl serves as both guide and wildcard, offering cryptic advice that’s equal parts helpful and confusing. While the puzzles occasionally lean on trial-and-error, the art style and character interactions keep the experience engaging. With a runtime of around six hours, it’s a brief but eccentric journey that feels more like a surreal fable than a traditional strategy game.
