Puffins: Let's Fish! casts you as a penguin angler on a quest to catch all sorts of sea creatures. Using the Nintendo DSi’s touch screen you’ll flick the stylus to cast your line and wrestle fish that tug and twist on the screen. Each catch adds to your collection while you unlock new spots to fish from icy shores to sunny beaches. Between outings you can cook meals using fresh catches or upgrade tackle to land bigger prizes. The game’s charm comes from its bright cartoon look and the variety of over 100 fish species. Simple controls make it easy to pick up though some mini-games add challenge. While it doesn’t reinvent fishing games it offers a lighthearted way to pass the time. Players looking for relaxed gameplay with a touch of strategy might find it hits the spot.
