Punch Perfect is a mobile game that turns memory challenges into boxing drills. You mimic punch sequences by tapping for jabs or swiping for hooks as coach Simon sets the pace. Each round adds new moves to the chain and ramps up the speed forcing you to keep up or get knocked out by the clock. The simplicity of controls hides a steep learning curve as patterns grow longer and faster. Developed by Handprint Games this single-player title leans into straightforward mechanics that test reflexes and short-term recall. Players often mention how quickly the difficulty spikes with some struggling past level 10 despite seeming ease. Since hitting Android and iOS in late 2018 it has maintained a steady following among fans of quick brain workouts. The lack of frills or extra modes makes it clear the focus is on the challenge not the spectacle.
Punch Perfect is a memory and reaction boxing game built around the logic of ‘Simon Says’. The game was launched in October 2018 and first presented at “Resonate”, a gaming exposition in Glasgow, Scotland. In the game, players will be training with no-nonsense boxing coach Simon, throwing different punch combos at the pads on his hands by for example tapping to throw a jab or swiping to throw a hook. With continuously incrementing sequences and increasing speed, the game quickly becomes a real challenge, allowing you to effectively train your memory, reactions and coordination while playing. Punch Perfect is the first of many more original games that indie game studio Handprint Games is hoping to release in the coming years.
