Pursuit Force drops you into a city torn apart by five rival gangs. You play a cop in the elite Pursuit Force, tasked with taking down criminals and recovering stolen property. The game mixes driving and shooting as you switch between cars, boats, and helicopters to chase targets. Each mission has you racing against time to stop heists, rescue hostages, or intercept drug deals. Controls are straightforward with a focus on fast-paced action and quick decisions. The PlayStation 4 and 5 version upgrades the original PSP game with sharper visuals, rewind functionality, and quick saves. Custom video filters let you tweak the look of the gritty urban setting. While the core loop of chasing and shooting is familiar, the added features make it more accessible. The single-player campaign is tight but short, wrapping up in around 10 hours. It maintains the chaotic energy of the source material with minimal modern polish.
