Quintus and the Formidable Curse is a spooky point-and-click adventure where you swap between a man and a mouse to solve puzzles and survive cursed forests. The two protagonists have to work around their size differences and clashing personalities to uncover secrets buried in a foggy village. Exploration focuses on environmental storytelling, with each character’s perspective revealing clues the other can’t reach. Combat is scarce, replaced by tense escape sequences and creative uses of small-scale chaos like scattering traps or hiding in walls. The game leans into its oddball duo premise, using their dynamic to mix humor and dread. Wreck Tangle Games polishes the 2D visuals with eerie lighting and tight animations, though the July 2024 release means its cultish charm hasn’t been tested by crowds yet. PC players get a compact single-player story that’s more about clever level design than jump scares, with a runtime around six to eight hours.
