About

Rabbit is a 2D arcade brawler with bright cartoon visuals and eight distinct fighters. Each character wields a zodiac-linked animal spirit that activates through a dedicated resource meter. Players mix basic strikes and kicks with timed special moves to outmaneuver opponents. Controls are straightforward with a joystick and four buttons for light and heavy attacks. The cast includes a rabbit, tiger, fox, and others, each with unique animations and playstyles. Matches escalate through a bracket of challengers leading to a showdown against the Zodiac-hunting villain Zao-Long. The game's charm comes from its whimsical design and rhythmic combat. While not as technically complex as later 3D fighters, its 1997 release offered a polished arcade feel with simple mechanics that remain approachable. Developed by Aorn and published by Electronic Arts Victor, it ran on Sega Saturn and arcade cabinets but never gained widespread popularity. Its zodiac theme and colorful presentation stand out in a genre often focused on gritty realism. The core loop of chaining attacks with spirit-based finishers creates satisfying flow, though the lack of multiplayer modes limits its replay value.

Storyline
