About

You’re juggling a lot here. Radical Spectrum: Volume 1 throws you into a chaotic screen where collecting colorful orbs matters but surviving the bullet-hell chaos below matters more. The action never slows. The grid fills with lethal black radiation. You dodge, absorb, and shoot in a frantic loop that demands split-second focus. The top half of the screen holds your target. The bottom half turns into a warzone. And somewhere in the middle you’re managing your color palette to stay alive. This 2016 release leans into old-school arcade punishment. Leaderboards show few making it past 10 minutes. The color-matching adds a puzzle twist to bullet-dodging, but don’t mistake this for a casual jaunt. It’s tough. It’s fast. And with no story to cling to, you’re just another pixel trying not to die. PC and Mac players have wrestled with it since July 2016. Some still try.

Storyline

A band of aliens led by the careless Prince FaceBox have invaded the future city of Nucleusport, bombarding it with radioactive waste from their own polluted planet. Only one man has the tech and the cojones to fight back. Take on the role of Doc DuBrane and wield his super-powerful Prisma Cannon in this endless arcade-style shooter. Absorb the radiation dropped by the alien ships and fire it right back in their stupid faces.
