Radirgy Swag is a fast paced arcade shooter where you pilot a plane armed with both guns and a sword. The game blends quick reflexes with tactical decisions as you slice through enemies or blast them from a distance. A shield blocks incoming fire while an Absonet gauge lets you temporarily become untouchable. Each run demands balancing offense and defense to survive increasingly tough missions. This 2019 Switch title takes a different approach than its predecessor. There are no stages or bosses, just a single continuous run with endless waves of enemies. An energy meter replaces traditional lives depleting when hit or over time but can be restored with in game items. The lack of rigid structure and focus on resource management creates a tense loop of survival that's still talked about in niche gaming circles.

Storyline

The game's title and general aesthetics draw from the original Radirgy, though this game makes several departures from the traditional arcade format of its forebear. Radirgy Swag consists of a single continuous run with endless enemies (under certain circumstances) and no bosses or rigid stage transitions whatsoever. Also, this game features an energy meter that depletes over time and upon being hit by enemy attacks (but can be replenished with items), instead of the traditional lives system.
