In Rags to Liches you play a peasant pushed to his limits by constant invasions from treasure hunters. Armed with traps and towers you defend your home through increasingly chaotic waves of enemies. The story follows your descent from annoyed farmer to full blown lich as you go to extreme lengths to protect your llama. Combat mixes real time action with strategic placement of defenses that scale with your growing dark powers. The game blends dark humor with its tower defense loop offering a fresh twist on the genre. Developed by students at Neumont College of Computer Science it launched June 2023 for PC. Its compact design makes each session feel punchy while the escalating absurdity of your transformations keeps things entertaining.
