Raiden II

About

Raiden II is a fast paced shooter that picks up after a failed alien invasion. You pilot a upgraded combat craft zipping through levels blasting enemy aircraft while targeting ground units with bombs. The controls emphasize quick reflexes and precise aiming as waves of Cranassian forces descend. Split screen co op lets two players share the fight though most content is designed for solo runs. The sequel adds new weapons and stage designs while retaining the original's frantic energy. A mix of vertical scrolling shooter mechanics and ground attack segments keeps the pace shifting. While the story is straightforward military sci fi, the focus is squarely on the action. The Windows port brings arcade precision to home setups without softening the challenge.

Storyline

Three years after the World Alliance Military is triumphant over the Cranassian invasion force, the remaining aliens on Earth have created an army to carry out their original mission to conquer the planet. To combat the collaborative army, a new weapon is developed for the Raiden - the ship designed to save the Earth three years ago - to use in another attempt to save our planet.
