Rail Chase is a 1991 arcade light gun shooter where players take aim at targets moving across a track. The game uses sprite scaling to create the illusion of depth as trains and obstacles zoom past. Available in standard and DX versions the latter features a pneumatic seat that tilts and rocks to match on screen action. Gameplay focuses on quick reflexes and precision with scores tracked across increasingly fast rounds. The DX cabinet hardware remains a standout element for collectors and arcade historians. With a sequel and theme park ride both arriving in 1994 the franchise had a short but notable run.
