Rakete is a chaotic co-op simulator where up to five players work together to guide a rocket through space and land it intact. Each person controls a single thruster, requiring precise timing and communication to maneuver the ship. One player manages the main engine, another the attitude thrusters, and so on. The challenge lies in balancing individual inputs to avoid spinning out or crashing. It’s a test of teamwork and reflexes with a steep learning curve. The game leans into its absurd premise with simple controls and escalating tension during launches. Despite a 2012 release date it still runs on modern systems and retains a cult following for its blend of strategy and shared frustration. The multiplayer component feels alive when all players are in sync, though just as likely to end in flames if coordination breaks down. Linux and Mac support add accessibility without frills.
