Ramsak is an arcade game where you control a white face navigating a shifting grid to collect dots and symbols. You avoid red face enemies that actively sabotage your path by altering the board. Blocks can be destroyed or remain solid, and the layout changes each time you die. Bonuses appear unpredictably between deaths, adding a layer of luck to the strategy. The entire game occurs on one field that reshapes itself constantly. What makes Ramsak stand out is its chaotic randomness. The single-screen design keeps things simple but relentless, with enemies rewriting the level state in real time. Indestructible barriers can vanish or reappear, and power-ups feel like fleeting chances rather than rewards. The 1982 DOS version runs in a tight loop of trial and error, where every reset feels fresh yet familiar. No progress beyond the initial field, but the endless remixing of obstacles makes each attempt feel like a new puzzle to solve.
