Redeemer throws you into a chaotic top-down brawl where fists, firearms, and heavy machinery collide. You play as Vasily, a former corporate hitman turned monk, forced back into action when his old employers hunt him down. The gameplay leans into fast-paced combat with a focus on melee strikes, cover mechanics, and creative environmental destruction. Use hammers to smash through walls or grenades to clear groups of enemies. The story unfolds through straightforward cutscenes and dialogue, framing your violent outbursts as a twisted path toward atonement. The game’s co-op and multiplayer modes let you team up or turn on allies mid-fight, adding replay value. While the 2017 release date means it’s showing its age, its no-frills approach to action still lands well with fans of aggressive, arcade-style brawls. The mix of close-range chaos and occasional sniping breaks up the pace, though the lack of deeper character development keeps it grounded in pure button-mashing fun.
Play as Vasily, an elite operative who once worked for one of the biggest arms industry corporations in the world. Officially working in security, you were tasked with infiltration, assassination, extortion and even torture. When eventually the corporation decided to get rid of you, you manage to narrowly escape to a secluded monastery deep in the snowy mountains. For 20 years you tried to find peace and harmony amogst your fellow monks, but you are still too haunted by your murderous past to find either. Now after all of these years the corporation is finally closing-in on your location, and in so doing they have given you one last shot at redemption.
