Redfall is a co-op first-person shooter from Arkane Austin set on a remote island town now overrun by vampires. Play as one of four customizable heroes, each with distinct abilities and playstyles, to take down bloodthirsty enemies and their human followers. The game blends open-world exploration with combat and light RPG elements, letting you tackle missions solo or with up to three friends. Vampires here aren’t just mindless killers, they evolve over time, gaining new powers and tougher forms, while cultists add a chaotic human element to the threat. The setting and enemy design stand out most. Redfall’s vampires stem from a failed scientific experiment, creating a hierarchy of increasingly dangerous foes. The island itself feels lived-in, with vertical environments and hidden secrets typical of Arkane’s style. While some players found pacing issues in early reviews, the co-op mechanics and creative weapon customization earned praise. Storyline

The quaint island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world. Trapped with a handful of survivors against diabolical enemies threatening to bleed the town dry, choose your hero from a diverse roster, grouping up with others to create the perfect team of vampire slayers. Redfall’s vampires aren’t your typical bloodsuckers. They were created after a scientific experiment went horribly wrong and are continuing to evolve. After their transformation, some vampires develop powerful abilities and grow into bigger and badder vampires. But they’re not the only thing standing in your way – players will also face off against the human cultists who worship the island’s hungry new leadership with the hopes of joining their ranks.
