Reiko's Fragments is an indie PC game that splits players into two roles. One person wears a VR headset and tries to navigate a haunted house while avoiding supernatural threats. The other players use motion controls to manipulate the environment and play as vengeful spirits. The VR player must solve puzzles and find an exit while the non-VR players work together to block their path using traps obstacles and eerie surprises. The game supports up to four players in a mix of cooperation and sabotage. The game's standout feature is its asymmetric design that turns friends into adversaries. The house itself becomes a living opponent as non-VR players can move objects create distractions and unleash ghostly attacks. Released in late 2019 it gained attention for its creative use of motion controls and the social tension of pitting players against each other in a shared physical space.
