Reindeer Story is a 2D adventure RPG set in a frozen world across six chapters. You play as a reindeer navigating icy terrain, battling foes in combat that mixes turn-based strategy with real-time dodging. During fights enemies attack in sequence but you react instantly using directional inputs and Z-Skills to counter. Exploration involves platforming elements like jumping between snowdrifts and sliding down slopes to progress. The hybrid combat system emphasizes reflexes and planning simultaneously. Pixel art gives the winter setting a crisp retro look while maintaining modern polish. Developer Azzie has a track record of tight RPG mechanics seen in previous titles. No multiplayer options exist focusing entirely on solo play. Releasing November 1 2024 it targets PC and Linux with a runtime of around 8-10 hours based on early builds.
