ReSpaced is a first-person shooter that adds a literal spring to your step. You fire a weapon whose kickback propels you across crumbling space station levels, turning each shot into a chance to leap higher or dodge sideways. Combat requires balancing offense and movement, aim too low and you'll miscalculate your next bounce, but nail the timing and you'll chain enemies in midair. Between waves of hostiles, you scavenge parts to tweak your gun's spread, rate of fire, and jump-boost strength. The levels fold in platforming puzzles that demand precise shooting to progress, making every upgrade feel earned through trial and error. The game’s standout is its physics-based control loop. Every bullet fired becomes a tool for traversal, creating a rhythm that rewards quick reflexes and adaptability. While the single-player campaign leans into its core gimmick without overcomplicating things, the lack of multiplayer or co-op might leave some wanting more. Still, with 12 distinct weapon mod slots and randomly generated hazards, ReSpaced offers enough variety to keep its 8-hour runtime from feeling repetitive.
