Restless Night is a first-person shooter where you battle waves of zombies, mutants, and other horrors to survive until dawn. Each run starts with limited resources and a growing horde, forcing you to manage ammo, health, and positioning as you blast through hordes of enemies. The game’s top-down perspective gives a classic feel, blending frantic shooting with strategic resource management. You’ll face different threats every time, from bloodthirsty cannibals to reanimated maniacs, all trying to end your run before sunrise. The biggest hook is the relentless tension of knowing one mistake could mean failure. Without permadeath but with unique enemy placements each playthrough, it offers a mix of challenge and variety. Developed by HugePixel, the game leans into retro aesthetics while keeping controls and combat responsive. While it doesn’t reinvent the genre, it delivers a polished, chaotic experience that should appeal to fans of old-school shooters. Available on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch since June 2021.
