Revival Xanadu 2: Remix is a follow-up to the earlier Revival Xanadu title built on the same PC-9800 Series engine. Players start by crafting a character and entering a familiar town before diving into a new set of dungeons. While the opening mirrors the base game, the actual levels here are redesigned with altered layouts and fresh content. The maps differ significantly from both the original Xanadu: Scenario 2 and their predecessor, featuring updated enemy placements and entirely new foes including bosses. Combat remains a mix of real-time action and strategic RPG elements as you navigate these revised spaces. The remix adds new regular enemies and bosses with improved visual design to match the updated graphical style. Though it serves as an expansion rather than a standalone experience, the changes to level geometry and enemy variety offer a distinct challenge for those already familiar with the series. Released in 1995, it retains the core mechanics of its predecessors while tweaking the formula enough to feel like a proper sequel in spirit if not in name.
