Rex Rocket is a 2D platformer with shooter elements set inside a massive starship. You navigate over 100 handcrafted levels filled with puzzles, enemies and bosses. The game channels 8-bit retro vibes with pixel art and chiptunes letting you play as Rex with a choice of gender. It’s a traditional run-and-gun experience with Metroidvania style exploration. The handmade levels and Saskrotch’s chiptunes stand out. Players praise the nostalgic charm and challenging design. Each level has distinct hazards and quirky NPCs. While not as complex as modern games it’s a solid throwback for platformer fans.
