Ring Wars is a first-person space shooter where you pilot a spacecraft to intercept ring-shaped worlds devouring the solar system. Developed for Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum in 1988, it pits you against relentless waves of enemies in top-down dogfights. You manage fuel, weapons, and shields while dodging debris and targeting weak points in the rings. Victory depends on quick reflexes and smarter tactics than your foes. The game’s focus on survival under pressure sets it apart from other 80s shooters. Its procedurally generated sectors and escalating difficulty keep each run unpredictable.
