You take control of RoboCop in this 2003 action hybrid that mixes shooting, driving, and administrative tasks. As the cyborg enforcer, you battle criminals, chase suspects in vehicles, and manage police resources to solve cases. The single-player campaign follows a standalone story set in a gritty Neo-Detroit where a powerful drug called Brain Drain fuels violence and corruption. You'll confront rival gangs, corporate conspiracies, and a mysterious cyborg antagonist while balancing combat with investigative work. The game’s original plot diverges from the RoboCop films, offering a self-contained narrative with moral ambiguity and tech-driven crime. While some critics called it uneven, others praised its ambitious blend of genres and over-the-top action sequences. With roots in early 2000s PC and console gaming, it remains a niche title for fans of aggressive gameplay and cyberpunk themes. The inclusion of vehicular combat and police strategy elements sets it apart from more linear shooters of the era.
Robocop places you in the titanium-coated-with-kevlar boots of Alex Murphy, killed in the line of duty and resurrected as the cyborg officer Robocop. The 2003 game features a new plot not featured in any of the films. Crime is up in Neo-Detroit due to the rapid proliferation of a new designer drug "Brain Drain," and the efforts of crime lord William Nexx to control its profitable distribution. Meanwhile, a mayoral race is heating up and getting dirty. And of course, mega-corporation OCP's role in all this is almost certain, but unclear.
