Robot Wars: Arenas of Destruction lets you design custom bots or pilot iconic machines like Razer and Behemoth. Battle in tournaments across destructible arenas, earning cash to upgrade armor, weapons, and speed. Choose from single-player campaigns, online matches, or split-screen duels against friends. The PC and PS2 ports offer similar content though the PS2 version has slightly enhanced visuals. Split-screen mode is a highlight letting two players clash on the same couch. While the AI opponents can be predictable the robot customization and arena variety keep matches engaging. As the first entry in the trilogy it sets the template for later entries but still holds up for quick bouts of mechanical mayhem. Some players note the PS2 controls feel tighter compared to the PC version’s clunkier input.
