Rocketron casts you as B.L.A.M a cybernetic soldier with a rocket musket fighting a rebellion on the cyberhuman planet Metnal 28. The side-scrolling action leans into straightforward combat where you zip between platforms blast enemies with explosive fire and methodically clear out hostile bases. Exploration gives you room to backtrack and find upgrades but the core loop is all about tight shooting and quick reflexes. The rocket musket feels like the star letting you swing between cover and unleash bursts of firepower. The sci-fi setting is basic but colorful with the Congregation of Gogoh’s takeover serving as a backdrop for chaotic firefights. Released in 2020 it landed on PC and Dreamcast giving retro fans a reason to revisit the system. The combat stays simple but satisfying with a focus on movement and timing over complex mechanics.

Storyline

The year is 2049. A mysterious group known as "The Congregation of Gogoh" has incited global insurrection on the cyberhuman planet of Metnal 28 as part of a nefarious plot for world domination. A galactic peacekeeping group that operates under the name "ARGO EXPRESS" has sent a cybernetic warrior known as "B.L.A.M" armed with a new weapon, a "rocket musket", to try and stop them...
