About

Rockman EXE Legend of Network is a tactical RPG for mobile devices that blends turn-based strategy with character progression. Players guide Netto and Enzan as they take on cybercrime threats using customizable Navis, balancing offensive and defensive maneuvers in grid-based battles. The story alternates between ancient civilizations waging digital war and the modern-day efforts of NetPatrol, linking past and present through mysterious programs. This entry in Capcom’s long-running Mega Man Battle Network series stands out for its layered narrative and the introduction of Cerise, a Netopian with ties to the ancient world. Released exclusively in Japan in 2006, it’s a niche title with a dedicated fanbase that praises its strategic depth and lore expansion. While its mobile origins limit accessibility, the game’s tactical challenges and story interweaving historical and futuristic themes keep it memorable for series veterans.

Storyline

In 1XXX B.C., there existed an extremely advanced ancient civilization with highly developed electronics and networking technology. However, the civilization engaged in a cyber war with a neighboring country. After ten years of conflict, the advent of a single program put an abrupt stop to the conflict, and both civilizations became lost to history. In the present day of A.D. 20XX, as the threat of cyber crimes increased, the Ministry of Science founded NetPatrol, a secret internet security organization made up of both civilian and Official NetBattlers. Netto and Enzan were selected as the NetPatrol members of Akihara Town and the Government Complex, respectively.
