Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 throws you into a messed-up future where the only thing worse than the world’s collapse is the tourists. You play as one of 16 over-the-top driver-mercenary hybrids, racing to snatch vacationers and shuttle them to crummy landmarks while blowing up anyone who gets in your way. Combat and chaos blend into every mission, dodge enemy fire, upgrade your ride with cash from completed runs, and outmaneuver rivals in either single-player or split-screen modes. The goal isn’t just to survive but to be the last one driving while everyone else explodes in a cloud of bad decisions. The game leans hard into its absurdity, pairing ridiculous character designs with a setting where nuclear waste and luxury travel coexist. As a follow-up to Twisted Metal 2 from SingleTrac, it keeps the over-the-top violence and dark humor but swaps highways for a more… chaotic mix of racing and shooting. With 16 playstyles and local co-op, it’s a relic of late ’90s PlayStation mayhem that still feels strangely fresh. No one asked for this world. No one deserves this world. But hey, at least the resorts are nice.
