Roller Angels is a side-scrolling platformer where you control a squad of skate-boarding aliens tasked with battling color-stealing drones. The Monodrones have drained the life from a peaceful town leaving it in black and white. Using a special paint-spraying gadget you’ll reclaim territory by rolling through levels and splattering walls with vibrant hues. Gameplay mixes quick reflexes with environmental puzzles as you navigate hazards and outmaneuver enemies. The game stands out for its playful art style and creative use of color mechanics. While the DSi’s touchscreen controls can feel a bit clunky at times the ability to literally paint your way through levels adds a fresh twist to the platformer formula. With 30 levels and a quirky sci-fi premise it offers a short but colorful experience that fans of retro-style action games might appreciate.
