Rolling Thunder

The Famicom/NES version of Rolling Thunder. There are noticeably less enemies, and the characters have all been reduced in size. The main character also runs at a faster speed.

Albatross, a secret agent working for the World Crime Police Organization's "Rolling Thunder" unit, is dispatched to New York to rescue his partner Leila Blitz. She has been captured by Geldra, a shadowy terrorist organization led by the mysterious Maboo. Albatross must infiltrate their stronghold, fighting through ten stages of hooded soldiers and mutant creatures to reach Maboo and free Leila.
