Run the Gauntlet turns a British TV competition into a chaotic mix of speed and dodges. Players race buggies, boats, quads, and inflatables across scrolling land and water levels filled with obstacles and enemy droids. The Hill event shifts to foot-based challenges, adding variety to the frantic action. Single or multiplayer modes let up to three humans take turns, with event order randomized each session. The game leans into its TV roots with quirky events but suffers from slow cassette loads that interrupt the flow. Competitors will appreciate the mix of vehicle and pedestrian stages, though the randomized format and hazards create uneven pacing. Amiga and Atari ST versions get most attention, with simpler ports on older systems.
