RWBY: Grimm Eclipse - Definitive Edition is a four-player co-op brawler with a focus on fast combat and team tactics. You play as one of eight Beacon Academy students fighting waves of Grimm creatures and figuring out a plot led by the villainous Doctor Merlot. Each character has distinct abilities and playstyles letting you mix melee strikes magic attacks and gadget-based combos. The game blends story-driven levels with arcade-style challenges including a competitive Grimm Gauntlet mode that tests your skills against increasingly tough enemies. This Switch port bundles all post-launch updates and adds eight new outfits for customization. Released in 2021 it brings local two-player couch co-op to the roster making it easy to team up with a friend on the go. While not a direct adaptation of the anime the game captures the series' chaotic energy with bright visuals and over-the-top action. Players appreciate the polished mechanics and replayability though the story takes a backseat to combat variety.
