"Fishing: North Atlantic is certainly not a revolution, but it is a very good evolution of the first installment, offering new fishing options and old and improved aspects from the original Fishing: Barents Sea. For new players, this is definitely a feat that is unrivalled on the market today, and if you are still hesitant about buying a fishing simulator, we can definitely recommend this title. For die-hard fans of the first installment, this is a nice improvement, and if you liked the first installment, you'll have just as much fun here. Unfortunately, the title is not without its faults, which North Atlantic copied from its older brother. Don't expect any great challenge here either, as the second sequel focuses more on relaxation and recreation. Another big minus are the mediocre textures, which were also already present in the first installment. Despite all this, this is a very good game that no fan of virtual fishing should miss."

Cast a line and unwind in a quiet corner of the great outdoors. Ryan Veeder’s game strips away the rush of modern life, replacing it with the simple rhythm of casting, waiting, and reeling. You’ll fish from a lakeside bench, adjusting your technique for different species and weather. The pace is slow, the challenges subtle, and the focus stays on the meditative connection between angler and water. Made with Veeder’s signature hand-drawn charm, the game leans into its cozy, low-pressure vibe. It’s a short experience best enjoyed in one sitting, with a 4.3/5 average from player reviews praising its calming design. No hyper-realistic graphics or large maps here, just a single pond, a handful of fish, and the quiet satisfaction of a job well done. Browser-based and free to play, it’s a quick escape for anyone craving a break from busier games.
