You play as one of four warriors in a 2D brawler soaked in Japanese folklore. Samurai, Ninja, Monk, and Rogue classes let you hack through Yokai hordes using swords, spears, bows, or stealth. Combat focuses on button-mashing combos and timing dodges between enemy surges. Defeat bosses to unlock upgrades and combo skills that mix elemental attacks with class-specific techniques. The Assist system lets unused characters tag in mid-fight or trade help via StreetPass. The hand-painted visuals pop with vibrant color and traditional patterns across 23 stages inspired by historical battles. Each of the four chapters ramps up challenge and variety with new enemy types and boss designs. Released in 2016 for 3DS, it leans into the system’s portability with short session-friendly levels.
