Saihate Station is a third-person visual novel where you follow Haru, a down-on-his-luck office worker stranded at a remote train station with his former colleague turned complicated friend, Shion. The pair must navigate eerie, ever-shifting environments while their strained history and clashing personalities unfold through dialogue choices. Supernatural threats escalate as the station's reality warps, forcing cooperation despite mutual distrust. Players steer through branching scenarios that blend survival mechanics with relationship dynamics, where past grievances and hidden affections influence outcomes. The game stands out for its tightly written character interactions and slow-burn tension. Community feedback highlights the unsettling atmosphere and how its horror elements amplify the emotional weight of the protagonists' toxic bond. With a runtime of roughly six to eight hours, it leans into discomfort rather than shock, letting players piece together why these two men are trapped together, and what either might do to escape.
I overslept the last train and ended up at a strange place called "Saihate Station". "Haru Akinashi" is a servile office worker who lacks self-confidence and is no good at anything he does. After sleeping in the last train, he finds himself trapped in a strange place called ``Saihate Station'' where horrific and mysterious phenomena occur. "Shion Tatsunami", a bright and talented colleague and former friend who is in contrast to the protagonist, also happens to be there, and they promise to cooperate and return together. The two had been estranged for a while, which made things awkward at first, but each time they overcome difficulties, they remember the distance they once felt and deepen their bond even more. The truth of the world approaches there. What are the consequences of perverted emotions? Where did the two end up?
