Saint Seiya: Ougon Densetsu is an early 80s RPG that blends side-scrolling exploration with strategic turn-based fights. You navigate stages by jumping over obstacles and squashing weaker foes but major battles require careful resource management. Before each attack you assign limited Cosmos points to different stats. Miss the mark and you'll take heavy damage instead of landing a hit. A revival system softens the blow of mistakes but run out of Cosmos entirely and you’ll restart from the beginning. The story follows the original anime’s early arc but adds a new final boss to set up the sequel. This 1987 release landed mid-narrative so the ending feels abrupt compared to later entries. Managing your Cosmos pool during combat is the core challenge with many battles demanding precise stat allocations. Developed by Hect Co and published by Bandai it remains a niche title for series fans though the punishing difficulty might test even dedicated players.
